What is your position at NJW? Business Administrator
What are your current job responsibilities? Accounts payable/receivable, overseeing office operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies, stock of office supplies, support bookkeeping procedures, create and update records with personal, financial and other data, some marketing and advertising, payroll & to support the President of NJW in any manner that enables our company to run efficiently and smoothly!
When did you begin working at NJW? I began work at NJW in October of 2001. At the time I was already working with another company full time but was looking for something different, met Mr. Walter of who was looking for someone to do bookkeeping so I began moonlighting between the two jobs, left my other position to work solely for NJW after a couple years.
Where else have you worked? My other job was working at the Lancaster Country Club where my Mother was my boss for 19 years!
How long have you worked in the industry? I have been employed by NJW for 18 years.
What colleges did you attend or what training have you received? I came to NJW with no office skills what so ever other than having taken some typing courses in high school many years ago and was taught by N. Joel Walter on bookkeeping. Most of my skills have been self-taught with the help of online tutorials.
Where do you live? I grew up in the small town of Carroll which is where our company is now based.
What else do you want us to know about you? Through my 18 year tenure with NJW I have also endured 25 surgeries to save my sight and life. Those surgeries have taught me how precious life is, patience, to believe in myself; that all things are possible with God, finding the positive in any and every aspect of life and to treat others the way I want to be treated. Everyone has a story that may not be heard or seen so be kind and compassionate to all being, all things.
